HENRIETTE "Yet" BORST

Henriette "Yet" Borst started her show career at age 7 in Holland. She showed ponies in dressage, show jumping to four foot, and evented to advanced at the national level. She was educated through the Dutch Equestrian Federation to instruct in dressage and show jumping.

After arriving in the United States, Yet evented through Advanced Level and has competed through 4th Level at USDF shows. She was active with the United States Pony Clubs (USPC) in the tri-state region (Ohio, West Virginia and Pennsylvania) and served as coach and instructor at Regionals, camps, and Pony Club Nationals for several years. She has participated in clinics with Ralph Hill, Peter Gray, Phillip Dutton, Karen O'Connor, Stuart Black, Jenny Lorriston-Clarke, and Jean Moyer. After arriving in Florida she worked with Frank Barnett of Ocala, Florida, a specialist in starting young horses, and reschooling and correcting problem horses.  She continues to collaborate with him on special projects.

Yet excels at building confidence in both horse and rider. She believes firmly in technically correct training of horse and rider, from fundamentals to show ring polish, to achieve maximum success. The Better Yet philosophy centers around a holistic approach of horse health care, correct technique, and empathic understanding of both horse and rider. As a trainer, Yet works to help each rider achieve their goals while each horse is helped to reach his or her maximum potential in a happy and cooperative way. While Yet works with many disciplines, her primary focus is taking clients to the Hunter and Jumper show rings, Horse Trials and Dressage competitions.
